I only loved who you were pretending to be No need to show me the real thing Don't even show me the real thing I only loved who you were pretending to be No need to show me the real thing Don't even show me the real thing I used to pretend you were everything you were pretending to be I used to pretend we had everything

After all that we've been through The end of the world will just seem like any other day And no one in this world is ever gonna keep you from me It's just the two of us It's just the two of us After all that we've been through The end of the world will just seem like any other day Any other day

You're everything I ever wanted The only one I ever cared for Something in the way you wrap around me Keeps me coming back for more Everything I ever wanted Every hope every desire This has to be a dream I don't deserve this kind of spoiling Do what you do but just don't change a thing I lose myself when I'm inside you Wish I could make this moment last This is the only thing that makes me feel alive The miles just seem to go by much too fast Everything I ever wanted Every hope every desire This has to be a dream I don't deserve this kind of spoiling Do what you do but just don't change a thing Just don't change a thing

about

This debut solo release by former db9d9 front man Eric Recourt delivers a hard driving sound, but then there are those mesmerizing and beautifully delicate moments. Eric's sarcastic and somewhat cynical lyrical approach to subjects such as superficiality and materialism as always, makes for an entertaining rant. The EP also features the juicy analog sound of modular synth guru John Noble (prettyhowtown).
